8. DVE Operations
Automatic DVE Triggering

Use the following steps to mix BG and KEY 2, and trigger the effect on keyer 2:
1. In the Next Transition Group, simultaneously press BG and KEY 2.
2. In the Effects Group, simultaneously press MIX and FX TRIG. The label “MFX”
appears in the
Transition Display above KEY 2, indicating that the keyer is
armed to mix and the effect is armed to trigger.

3. (Option) Use the special “tap out” functions to include or exclude triggers. Refer
to the “
Tap In, Tap Out Functions” section on page 407 for details.
4. Press AUTO TRAN to mix the key and the background, and run the effect.
5. To cancel the trigger, press MIX or WIPE.

DVE effects on keyers 1 and 2:
1. In the Next Transition Group, simultaneously press BG, KEY 1 and KEY 2.
2. In the Effects Group, simultaneously press MIX and FX TRIG. The label “MFX”
appears in the
Transition Display above KEY 1 and KEY 2, indicating that the
keyers are armed to mix and the effects are armed to trigger.
