Quitting method
5.2.3 Upgrading the TG-2000A version (TG-2000A Ver.5.5* or later)
The TG-2000A version is upgraded with the following four steps.
Step 1) TG-2000A quit
Step 2) TG-2000A uninstall
Step 3) MSDE uninstall (+ restart computer)
Step 4) TG-2000A version upgrade (+ restart computer)
Step 1) TG-2000A quit
1) Quit TG-2000A
Open the initial screen from the Management screen,
and select [File] - [End] from the menu bar.
A Quit confirmation window opens, so select the [OK]
button.
The TG-2000A program closes.
* The TG-2000A program must be quit before the
version is upgraded.
Step 2) TG-2000A uninstall
1) Open [Add/Remove Program] or [Uninstall a program] in the Control Panel.
Windows XP: Open [Add/Remove Program] : in the Control Panel.
Windows Vista: Open [Uninstall a program] (or [Programs and Features]) in the Control Panel.
2) Uninstall the TG-2000A.
Select the “TG-2000A” program.
Windows XP: Click [Change/Remove] to delete the program.
Windows Vista: Click [Uninstall] to remove the program.
If the window at right appears during uninstallation, click
[Ignore] to procede.
Step 3) MSDE uninstall
When upgrading an older version of TG-2000A (Ver.5.20* or later), it is not
necessary to uninstall the MSDE.
1) Start the SQL Server Service Manager
Start the “SQL Server Service Manager” by right-clicking
the MSDE icon on the taskbar.
2) Stop all service
To stop all service, make your selection at the Service field
and click the [Stop] button.
3) End the SQL Server Service Manager
The “SQL Server Service Manager” window closes.
4) Close the MSDE icon
Right-click the MSDE icon on the taskbar and select [Exit].
The MSDE icon is removed from the taskbar.
Maintenance Tip:
These four steps must be carried out in the above order to upgrade the version.
The TG-2000A will not operate properly if the above order is not followed.
The database should be backed up beforehand to prevent trouble. (Refer to Appendix 5.)
Refer to sections 7.3, 5.2.4 and 5.3.4 for details on steps 1 and 2.
Quit all applications (including resident programs) other than MSSQL Server.
