The methods for backing up the data initially set in the system at the site into a different medium are
explained in this section.
Backing up into a removal disk
The methods for copying and backing up the database files from the computer into a removable disk (FD,
CD-R, USB Memory etc.) are explained below.
The required tools and procedures are given below.
[Required tools]
• Removable disk (Recordable medium
(FD, CD-R, USB Memory etc.) compatible with the site's
computer.)
• Compression tool (Necessary to use an FD medium)
1. Backing up the system setting data in the “Standard” mode
[Procedure]
1) Quit the integrated software TG-2000A program.
Quit the integrated software program after initialization and test run.
* The database file cannot be copied if the integrated software is running.
2) Select the "detach" icon.
Double-click the "detach" icon on the desktop. The DOS window opens and a
process takes place so that the database files can be accessed. The DOS
window closes automatically when the detach execution program ends.
* The database can be copied in this state.
3) Copy and paste "MJ310G.***".
Copy the files (MJ310G.***) in the following folder.
Folder C:¥Mssql7¥data¥
File name MJ310G.ldf
Mj310G.mdf
Paste the copied file into the removal disk.
4) Select the "attach" icon.
Double-click the "attach" icon on the desktop. The DOS window opens, and the
file is processed so that it can be used as a database. The DOS window closes
automatically when the attach execution program ends.
* The files can be used as a database in this state.
5) Start the integrated software TG-2000A program.
Start the integrated software and make sure that it runs properly.
Appendix 5: Backing Up the System Setting Data
Note:
• Always prepare a recordable medium and compression tool compatible with the site's computer.
Note:
• When using an FD, create a random work file (example: C:¥work), and compress the folder into
a size that can be copied onto the FD.
• When using a CD-R or USB Memory, the file can be copied with writing software withou
t
compressing the size.
•
The data such as the system information and charging data is stored in MJ310G.***.
Caution:
• The integrated software will not run properly if "attach" is not executed.
Note:
•
A
function is available to periodically (approx. once a day) back up the MJ310G.*** database into
a designated folder in the computer's HDD. Refer to section 8.3.2 for details..
• Do not use the backup database except when the computer is replaced due to faults. The system
information and charging data will overwritten with the backup data.
