5.1.2 Preparing for TG-2000A setup
Preparing for installation
Before installing the TG-2000A application, do the following checks and preparatory steps.

2 Check the memory Check the requirement of the memory
capacity for OS used.
Windows Vista : 1GB or more
Windows XP/2000 : 512MB or more
* Install expansion memory
if required.
3 Check the HDD free
space
Check that there is at least 2GB of free
space on the C drive. (OS already set
up)

4 Printer settings *1 Install the printer driver and check that
printing is possible.

5 Set the date and time In the Windows Control Panel, select
“Date and Time” and set the date, time
and region

delimiter.

6 Screen size and color
settings
At the “display” in the Windows Control
Panel, set the screen size to 1024 × 768
or larger and the color to 65536 colors
(High Color (16-bit)) or more.

7 Automatic login
settings
Check that the Auto log-in is set. *2

cedure, see Appendix 2 Auto
Log-in Check Procedure.
8 Network settings Check that the network settings have
been performed (even if the adapter is
not connected).

9 Check the power
option settings
Check that the settings for the "System
standby" and "System hibernates" are set to
"OFF" in the power option's "Power settings".

*1 Check when using the printer.
*2 Auto log-in sets the automatic start-up without entering the log-in name or password at the
Windows(OS) start-up.
*3 Set the integrated centralized control software TG-2000A so it can be used 24-hours.
Note:
Unless the Auto log-in is set up, TG-2000A will not start up when the PC is rebooted after the
TG-2000A has restarted itself. Be sure to set up the Auto log-in.
Do not change the computer name after the TG-2000A has been setup. TG-2000A will not run
properly if changed, and may require the Windows(OS) to be installed again.
Note:
The AG-150A- and G-50A-compatible TG-2000A must be used to Ver. 5.5* or later. These
versions of the TG-2000A run on Windows Vista or Windows XP.
To use the functions supported by older versions of G-50A-compatible TG-2000A, use TG-2000A
Ver. 5.1* This version runs on Windows XP or Windows 2000.
