8.14.4 Electrical specification of outdoor units (Step 3)
Follow these steps to set the crank case heater of
an outdoor unit connected to a watt hour meter.
Do these steps for all connected outdoor units.
Set the crank case heater of outdoor unit.
[Procedure]
1) Select the AG-150A/G-50A number using the “ /
button.
Using the “
/
” button, select the AG-150A/G-50A
number assigned to the outdoor unit whose crank
case heater is to be set.
2) Set the crank case heater.
Click on the crank case heater cell of each outdoor
unit, and set the value (W). Since the crank case
heater is different for each crankcase type, please
see the data book or catalog for details.
* For outdoor units with a unit Model Name set in
the database, the value of crank case heater is
displayed automatically.
3) Repeat steps 1) and 2).
Repeat these steps for every unit.
For A/K control units, AIC and KIC are displayed.
4) Select [OK] button.
When finished setting the crank case heater, click
the [OK] button.
* If the [Cancel] button is clicked, the settings are
interrupted and the screen returns to the initial
window.
Note:
Outdoor units connected to a watt hour meter are light blue. When a set outdoor unit Model
Name applies to a database, its crank case heater capacity is displayed automatically. Check the
displayed value and correct it, as required.
The value of crank case heater depends on the model. Refer to the data book, catalog, and othe
r
information.
A warning message appears if even one outdoor unit connected to a watt hour meter does no
t
have its crank case heater set (0W). Make sure each value is set to proceed.
Failing to set the crank case heater may effect the charge information.
In the case of the Super Y series and Combination Multi models, use the total crank case heate
r
for that model number. (The value input to "OS" is not used.)
When Division Mode 1 is selected, this screen does not appear.
This setting window is not displayed for Without WHM connection proportionally divided electric
charge (manual input of the electric amount).
When multiple K-control indoor units (KIC) are connected to the outdoor unit, set the crankcase heater on
only the KIC whose address is the smallest in the refrigerant system, and set 0W on others. In this case,
input error message will appear. Ignore the message and go on to the next step.
For non-registered units, refer to the data book or catalog when inputting crank case heater.
The value of crank case heater for A-control and K- control units is not set automatically.
The value of crank case heater is used for the main part of standby electricity. The value of standb
y
electricity is not the same as actual amount.
When the model name is selected, the values for the crank case heater is automatically reflected.
If, in section 8.11.2 “Set-up of model name”, a model name that is not on the list was manually entered,
values for the crank case heater need to be manually entered.
