Distinctive Ringing

Conditions
None
Default Setting
Outside lines, Ring Groups, and UCD Groups use Type A ringing.
The ASSIGN (ASGN) and KEY soft keys are disabled.
The CONFIG (CNFG) soft keys is enabled.
Programming
1. Enable the CONFIG (CNFG) soft keys.
- In 2102-01: Class of Service (page 724), check the extension’s Class of Service level.
- In 1405-01: Ring Type Conguration (page 641), enter Yes.
System Programming
2. To set up Distinctive Ring Conguration:
-To set the ring tone and cadence for Intercom ringing, use:
- 2103-04: Station’s Intercom Ring Tone (page 727).
-To set the ring tone and cadence for Ring Group ringing, use:
- 2103-05: Station’s Ring Group Ring Tone (page 727).
-To set the ring tone and cadence for recall ringing,
- 2103-06: Station’s Recall Ring Tone (page 727).
-To set the ring tone and cadence for ring tone A, use:
- 2103-07: Station’s Ring “A” Tone (page 728).
-To set the ring tone and cadence for ring tone B, use:
- 2103-08: Station’s Ring “B” Tone (page 728)
-To set the ring tone and cadence for ring tone C, use:
- 2103-09: Station’s Ring “C” Tone (page 728)
Soft Keys
3. To set up Distinctive Ring Conguration:
- Turn to Distinctive Ring Conguration (page 140) to set this up.
- This allows you to select new tones and/or cadences for the Ring Types you want to customize.
System Programming
1. Set up Line Override using the following:
- In 3113-02: Day Ring Type (page 822), enter the day ring type
(
1=Type A, 2=Type B, 3=Type C).
- In 3113-03: Night Ring Type (page 823), enter the night ring type
(
1=Type A, 2=Type B, 3=Type C).
- In 3113-04: Delay Ring Type (page 824), enter the delay ring type
(
1=Type A, 2=Type B, 3=Type C).
Soft Keys
2. You cannot set up line override using an extension’s soft keys.
