4.8 Battery
This section explains the mounting and replacement of the battery.
4.8.1 Battery specifications
This section shows the specifications of the MES interface module battery.
Remark
For the battery directive in EU member states, refer to Appendix 9.
4.8.2 Mounting of battery
The MES interface module is shipped with the battery connector disconnected. Before
using the MES interface module, connect the battery connector.
• Firmly push the battery connector all the way in to the connector pin.
• When operating without battery mounted, refer to the following.

Not following the procedure may cause the data corruption in the
CompactFlash card being accessed or a file system error.

After confirming the insertion direction
is correct, insert the battery connector
