Unlocking User Accounts
Note The unlock command is supported in IPS 7.1(3)E4 and later.
Use the unlock user username command in global configuration mode to unlock local and RADIUS
accounts for users who have been locked out after a specified number of failed attempts.
To configure account unlocking, follow these steps:
Step 1 Log in to the sensor using an account with administrator privileges.
Step 2 Check to see if any users have locked accounts. The account of the user jsmith is locked as indicated by
the parentheses.
sensor# show users all

Step 3 Enter global configuration mode.
sensor# configure terminal
sensor(config)#
Step 4 Unlock the account.
sensor(config)# unlock user jsmith
