8. UPDATING FIRMWARE

This chapter provides a detailed procedure for upgrading E2 software (firmw a re).
The E2 provides two options for upgrading firmware via the front panel m enu:
• Using the U SB port on the front panel.
• Using the Web Upgrade.
A third solution is available to upgrad ing the E 2 with the built-in web interface. For d etails on the upgrade pro-
cedure via the Se tting Men u in the Event M aster Control S oftware ( EM GUI), please refer to chapter "Settings
Menu > WebKit area > Too ls > Man age Software", page 150
In the event the E2 gets into a state in which it constantly reboots after a software upgrade, press and hold
the SEL a nd ESC keys simu ltaneously until the front panel shows the ch oice o f performin g a f actory reset o r
continuing. Performing a factory reset will allow the E2 to boot normally.
