This screen contains a list of proles that were created and its associated device type. A prole
denes pages with elds that can be congured in the endpoint. These are a subset of the elds
that appear when the admin screen is called up from the endpoint interface or web browser.

Proles makes it easier to modify a group of endpoints. Proles can be set up for a specic group
of endpoints. How these groups are dened is up to the administrator.
Here are some examples of groups:
• A group can consist of endpoints that are proximally near each other and report to the
same Global Directory server.
• A group of endpoints that are the same model
• Endpoints that have the same H.323 services such as registration to the same
Gatekeeper.
