Entering a phone number by using a dialing service
Whenever the Client opens the Phone Number dialog box and prompts you to
enter a phone number, you must first select the dialing service to use.
To enter a phone number by using a dialing service
1. In the Call Using field of the Phone Number dialog box, select the
dialing service to use. Ask your Strata CS system administrator about
the different dialing services available in your system.
2. In the Number field, enter a phone number, Internet address, or Centrex
or PBX extension (see the next three procedures for detailed
instructions).
To enter a phone number
1. In the Number field, enter the phone number.
n For local calls, you might not need to enter the city or area code.
Strata CS will automatically dial the number correctly. You do not
need to enter the long-distance prefix as part of a long-distance
number.
n To enter a phone number for international dialing, enter the country
code followed by the phone number, for example, 44-987-654-3210.
You do not need to enter the international dialing prefix as part of an
international number.Click
OK.
To enter an IP address
1. In the Address field, enter the IP address of the remote H.323 device or
Strata CS Server to which you want to connect. For example,
123.45.67.89 or abccorp.com.
n If the IP address connects you to a remote Strata CS Server, you can
dial a user on that system by appending the appropriate Direct Inward
