BROWSING ARCHIVED ALARMS AND EVENTS
Once you have retrieved archives, you can browse through them, as follows:
1. Select event: Select an event by clicking the event in the list of retrieved events. Alternatively, click the event’s bar in the Event row of the
Event Picker. Your selection is highlighted both in the list and in the Event Picker. The date/time the event was archived and its description
appear in the top row of the Event Picker.
2. Non-adjacent event: Move directly to another event by scrolling the list and clicking the event. Alternatively, click the event’s bar in the
Event row of the Event Picker, or drag the Picker to the event’s bar.

3. Adjacent event: Step through events:
a. Next event: Go to the next event by clicking the Select Next Event button in the Session Manager tool bar. Alternatively, click + Event
at the right of the Event row in the Event Picker. You cannot step to an event outside the selected time range.
b. Previous event: Go to the previous event by clicking the Select Previous Event button in the Session Manager tool bar. Alternatively,
click - Event at the left of the Event row. You cannot step to an event outside the selected time range.
4. Reduce number of events retrieved: Retrieving a large number of events from the archive server slows the retrieval process. To reduce
the number of events retrieved, zoom to a smaller time unit. To increase the number of events retrieved, zoom to a larger time unit. Refer to
Event Picker - Zooming to a Time Unit for instructions.
FILTERING ARCHIVED ALARMS AND EVENTS
The filter option allows you to filter out archived events you do not want displayed by specifying criteria each displayed event must match. Filtering
does not affect the number of records retrieved from the archive server. It only affects which events are displayed in the Session Manager.
You can filter on one or more of the following things:
Server the event is defined on
