ARCHIVE VIEW
Use Archive View to view events that are archived.
To go into Archive View, click the Archive View button on the tool bar.

In Archive View, the bottom part of the Session Manager Window is taken up by the Event Picker. Use the Event Picker to locate and retrieve
archived events. Refer to Event Picker for instructions.
NOTE: To view archived events, the archive server must be running. If the text in the bottom row of the Event Picker is flashing, and continues to
flash without stopping, the archive server is not running. Notify your system administrator. The text flashes temporarily when archives are being
retrieved from the server.
The events you have retrieved using the Event Picker are listed in the Session Manager window, above the Event Picker. If you are looking for a
particular event or group of events, browse or filter the events. Refer to Browsing Archived Alarms and Events and Filtering Archived Alarms and
Events for instructions.
Archived events have the following information:
Created: Date and time the event was triggered
Server: Server on which the event is defined
Category: Alarm/event category the event belongs to
Description: Description of the event
Priority: The event’s priority
ACK user: User or server who acknowledged the event
ACK date: Date and time the event was acknowledged
Comment: Comments entered by the operator who acknowledged the event
Sort list: To sort the list of retrieved events chronologically, click the Created column header. The arrow in the column header indicates that the
list is sorted by date/time. You can also sort the list on any of the other columns by clicking the appropriate column header.
Refresh list: Use the Refresh button in the Session Manger tool bar to update the list of events. This will add any newly archived events to the
list. This option is the same as the Refresh option in the Event Picker pop-up menu.
Print list: Use the Print button in the Session Manager tool bar to print the list of archived events you have retrieved. If you filter the list, only the
filtered events are printed. Refer to Filtering Archived Alarms and Events for information on filtering.
Details: Each entry in the list of retrieved events takes up one line. In some cases, this does not provide enough room to see the entire record,
particularly if the description or comment is wordy. To view an archived event in its entirety:
Double-click the event in the list, or select the event and click Details in the upper right corner of the Event Picker.
