Record Speech
The BT Home Monitor VP1000 has a record
speech function. If you have a room or location
which isn't part of the pre-recorded list, you may
record up to 5 phrases or terms which your
system can play aloud. To record a Custom
location, access the RECORD SPEECH option
within the SYSTEM PROFILE menu and follow
these instructions:
PRESS DISPLAY
Display shows
CUSTOM LOCATION 1.
Hold down the number 2 button on
the Control Panel keypad.
Display shows RECORD A
MESSAGE then SPEAK NOW you
will have 5 seconds to record your
message. This is shown by 5 blocks
which count down one by one.
Hold down the number 5 button
on the Control Panel keypad and
the display will show PLAY.
You can re-record if you wish.
Choose either:
To move to the next CUSTOM
LOCATION term.
Or
Three times, then <OK> to exit to
return to READY.
You can also use this function to leave messages
for other household members. To record a
message:
Hold down the number 2 button on
the Control Panel keypad.
Display shows RECORD A
MESSAGE then SPEAK NOW you
will have 5 seconds to record your
message. This is shown by 5 blocks
which count down one by one.
Hold down the number 5 button
on the Control Panel keypad and
the display will show PLAY.
You can re-record if you wish.
A message is cleared automatically once it has
been listened to, and the Control Panel display
returns to BT HOME MONITOR.
BT Serial Number
This is the Serial Number of your panel. This is
pre-programmed and cannot be changed.
Factory Reset
This changes your panel back to the factory
settings.
If you press this setting, you will get the message
select <OK> to reset. If you change your mind at
this point, press HOME to exit to the menu,
otherwise press OK.
Note that this will erase all your sensors from the
memory, requiring them to be re-registered. For
this to be successful the sensors will need to be
brought within approximately 1m of the Control
Panel, or if your sensors have been attached with
the adhesive, they will need to be triggered one
by one which means covering up all Movement
Detectors and closing all Magnetic Contacts.
