If you want to change the response type, follow
the instructions below:
PRESS DISPLAY
Until the display shows
SYSTEM PROFILE.
Enter your USER PIN – if you
have not selected a personal PIN
number, this will be the default
setting – 2580.
Until display shows
ADD / DEL SENSOR.
Display shows SENSOR NO:--
Enter the sensor number you want
to change. e.g. 04.
Display shows S (number): DELETE.
Display shows S (number):
RESPONSE.
You need to choose from the
following options.
To scroll through these options
and to select the way you want
your sensor to work.
1. Home 6. Help Silent
2. Home & 7. Alarm
House 8. Fire
3. Walk-Thru 9. Non-Alarm
4. Entry 1 10. Emergency
5. Entry 2
Twice to confirm change.
Display shows S (number):
LOCATION.
Choose either:
To move through the LOCATION
options.
Or
Followed by either the NEXT or
BACK button to move to the next
or previous sensor.
Or
Three times, then <OK> to return
to READY.
Help, Fire and Emergency Alerts
There are several ways people inside your home
can activate the BT Home Monitor VP1000 to call
for help or raise the alarm in an emergency. These
can be activated whether your system is switched
on or off.
HELP BUTTON
If there is a problem in your home and you wish
to call for help without sounding the siren, press
the button on the Control Panel or the
optional Keypad.
A HELP alert is sent by BT Home Monitoring to
all your nominated contacts, simultaneously.
FIRE BUTTON
If there is the danger of smoke or fire in your
home, and you wish to call for help, press
the button on the Control Panel or the
optional Keypad.
A FIRE alert is sent by BT Home Monitoring to
all your nominated contacts, simultaneously.
The internal siren will sound an intermittent
signal. You can stop this at any time by using
your PIN code.
EMERGENCY
If there is an emergency in your home and you
wish to call for help, press both and
buttons simultaneously on the Control Panel or
the optional Keypad. Alternatively, press both
the and buttons simultaneously on the
Keyfob.
An EMERGENCY alert is sent by BT Home
Monitoring to all your nominated contacts,
simultaneously. The internal siren will sound a
solid signal. You can stop the siren at any time
using your PIN code.
