Remote access
You can call in and operate many features of
your BT Home Monitor including switching it on
and off, leave and pick up messages, and hear a
status report of the last 10 events recorded in
your home.
Dial the number that your BT Home Monitor is
connected to and let it ring between 2 and 4
times, then hang up.
Call again after 15 seconds (and before 40
seconds are up). After a few seconds ringing
your BT Home Monitor will answer and you hear
continuous tones.
PRESS DISPLAY
PIN Press *, enter your 4-digit PIN
code then #. You hear two
confirmation beeps.
You can now use the following menu to
operate your BT Home Monitor:
Switch off.
Switch on HOME setting.
Switch on HOME setting
instantly (with no time delay
for leaving the premises.
Switch on HOUSE setting.
Switch on HOUSE setting
instantly (with no time delay
for leaving the premises.
Start voice communication.
You hear two confirmation beeps.
Then press: 3 to listen in (to keep
the line open, press 3 again
before 50 seconds are up)
1 to make an announcement (to
keep the line open, press 1 again
before 50 seconds are up)
6 to hold a conversation with
someone at your BT Home
Monitor control panel (to keep
the line open, press 6 again
before 2.5mins are up)
Messages
Play recorded messages
Record a message
Stop recording
Delete all messages
Status report
To hear a status report.
End communication with the Control Panel
To end communication with the
panel, then hang up
TO USE VOICE COMMUNICATION
You must first set this option in the control
panel. See Two Way Voice.
SWITCH REMOTE ACCESS OFF AT THE
CONTROL PANEL
Remote access can be cancelled at any time by
someone at the Control Panel by switching the
system Off.
