11 Select Helix Serial Port from the Port
Type drop down list.
12 Rename the port name in the Port Name
field.
13 Click OK. The new port appears in the
Communications Ports list, under its new name.
14 Assign the port name to the
device by selecting the port
and device from the
Communications Ports and List of
Devices, and selecting the port
name in the drop down list.
15 Click OK.
Your system should now be ready for online operation, as described in section 3.5. Successful
communication with the HELIX DN9848E units is indicated by ‘rotating’ symbols at the bottom right-
hand corner of the LCD panel (“T1R1” → “T/R/” → “T―R―”).
