Special conditions for safe use (X)
1. When fitted with the 90V transient suppressors, the equipment is not capable of
passing the 500V insulation test. This must be taken into account upon installation
2. The enclosure may be made from aluminum alloy with a protective polyurethane paint
finish; however, care should be taken to protect it from impact or abrasion when
located in Zone 0.
3. When the equipment is installed, particular precautions must be taken to ensure,
taking into account the effect of process fluid temperature, that the ambient
temperature of the electrical housing of the equipment meets the marked protection
type temperature range.
Transmitter enclosures with Flameproof Protection Type Ex d shall only be opened when
power is removed.
The cable and conduit entry devices for protection type Ex d shall be of a certified
Flameproof Protection Type Ex d, suitable for the conditions of use and correctly installed.
Closing of entries in the device must be carried out using the appropriate Ex n or Ex d cable
gland and metal blanking plug or any appropriate ATEX or IECEx approved cable gland and
blanking plug with IP66 rating. Unless otherwise marked on housing, the standard conduit
entry thread forms are
