Threading the right needle
Place the spool of thread on the spool pin second from the
left.
Right needle threading points are marked in blue.
A convenient threading chart is placed on the machine body
which is located inside the looper cover.

Draw the thread through the thread guide second from
the left from back to front.

If the thread slips out from the thread guide groove while
serging, pass the thread through the thread guide hole
again as shown.
Pass the thread through the second set of holes on the
thread guide as illustrated.

Insert thread between the tension discs.
Hold the thread at both ends and tug gently to ensure
the thread is correctly inserted between the tension
discs. (If the presser foot lifter is raised, the thread easily
inserts between the tension discs.)
Right needle thread tension dial
Pass thread through the front cover thread guide 1, then
pass the thread under the front cover thread guide 2 and
the take-up lever cover from right to left.
Guide the thread over the front cover thread guide 3.
Insert the thread into the right slot of the guide plate.
Raise the needle to its highest point and pass the
thread through the needle bar thread guide from left to
right.
Thread the right needle from front to back and pull the
thread about 4" (10 cm) from the eye of the needle to the
back under the foot.
NOTE
When you pull the needle thread under the presser foot,
be careful not to wind the thread around the lower looper.
