Welted buttonhole
(Bound buttonhole)
Welted Buttonhole is made by stitching a strip
or patch of fabric to the buttonhole.
Welted Buttonhole is particularly suited to
tailored garments, but are not recommended
for sheer or delicate fabrics where the patch
might show through or add bulk.
1 Baste a patch to the garment fabric with the
right sides together.
