5. Use the navigation buttons to select Filter.
6. Press Mode/Select to toggle the Filter setting between 30, 60, 90, or 120 days.
Switching Your HVAC System Between Heating and Cooling
This option enables you to toggle the HVAC system setting between heating and cooling. Perform the
following steps to switch your HVAC system between heating and cooling:
1. From the Main screen, press Mode/Select to access the Current Weather screen.
2. Press Mode/Select to access the 5-Day Forecast screen.
3. Press Mode/Select to access the Thermostat Mode screen.
4. Use the navigation buttons to select Settings, and press Mode/Select to access the Settings screen
(see FIG. 23).
5. Use the navigation buttons to select Heat or Cool.
6. Press Mode/Select to toggle the Heat or Cool setting between Heat, A/C, Auto, or Off.
Turning on Emergency Heat
This option enables you to toggle the emergency heat setting between On and Off. This option is only
available if your thermostat is configured to operate as a heat pump. Perform the following steps to turn
on emergency heat:
1. From the Main screen, press Mode/Select to access the Current Weather screen.
2. Press Mode/Select to access the 5-Day Forecast screen.
3. Press Mode/Select to access the Thermostat Mode screen.
4. Use the navigation buttons to select Settings, and press Mode/Select to access the Settings screen
(see FIG. 23).
5. Use the navigation buttons to select Emergency Heat.
6. Press Mode/Select to toggle the Emergency Heat setting between On and Off.

The Emergency Heat option is only available if your thermostat is configured to operate as a heat
pump.
