MAINTENANCE
Kirby recommends that all tools be serviced by an authorized
Kirby Distributor.
The polishing tips and brushes in the Handi-Butler tool have
been designed for many hours of use. Check them regularly
for wear and replace when necessary. Only genuine Kirby
®
Handi-Butler
®
tool parts should be used.

Oil the flexible shaft by dripping 3-4 drops of oil along
the drive shaft after every ten uses. •
CHANGING THE ACCESSORIES
Your Handi-Butler tool comes with a variety of polishing
and cleaning tools that can be easily changed to meet your
cleaning needs.
The brushes come pre-assembled. The tools used with the
polishing tips and disks will need to be assembled before use.
PADS FOR USE WITH THE SCREW MANDREL
The Conical Felt Tip (L) and the 1/2" Felt Tip (M) can
easily be screwed onto the Screw Mandrel (J). •
PADS FOR USE WITH THE SMALL SCREW MANDREL

The Small Screw Mandrel (K) is designed for use with
the 1" Felt Disk (N) or the 1" Cloth Disk (O). To attach a
disk, use the handle end of the Mini Wrench (E) to
remove the small screw from the end of the mandrel. >
Put the polishing disk between the two small red
washers found on the Small Screw Mandrel (K) and
place the washers and the disk on the screw. Reinsert
the screw into the Mandrel. Use the Mini Wrench (E) to
tighten it securely. •
