To transfer media from a Sony Video Disk Unit:
1 Make sure that the Sony Video Disk Unit is connected and mounted on the desktop.
2 Choose Final Cut Pro > System Settings, then click the Scratch Disks tab.
3 Select a scratch disk or folder to which you want to transfer your media.

4 Choose File > Log and Transfer.
5 Use the Log and Transfer window to transfer footage from the Sony Video Disk Unit.

Important: Do not attempt to copy media files from a mounted Sony Video Disk Unit
directly to your scratch disk. Media files copied directly from a Sony Video Disk Unit in
this way are not QuickTime media files, and they will not be handled properly if you
import them into Final Cut Pro.
