8.1.6. MACHINE ID
Each type of Teledyne API’s analyzer is configured with a default ID code.
The default ID code for the M300E/EM Analyzers is 300.
The ID number is only important if more than one analyzer is connected to the same communications channel
such as when several analyzers are:
On the same Ethernet LAN (see Section 8.4);
in a RS-2
32 multidrop chain (see Section 8.2) or;
operating ove
r a RS-485 network (See Section 8.3).
If two analyzer
s of the same model type are used on one channel, the ID codes of one or both of the instruments
needs to be changed.
To edit the instrument’s ID code, press:
The ID can also be used for to identify any one of several analyzers attached to the same network but situated in
different physical locations.
