Attach ing Walking Foot (Option)
The "walking foot" is a piece of equipment that helps fabric
feed more smoothly. With this foot, fabric can sewn without
shiftingor puckering since the fabric is held and fed by both
upper and lower feed dogs.
It works well with material like lawn, knit, vinyl or leather.
Raise the needle, and the presser foot.
Loosen the thumb screw on the foot holder to remove it.
Attach the walking foot to the presser bar with the lever
above needle clamp, and secure it with the thumb screw.
Operate the machine at low to medium speed.
Set the stitch length in the range 0-4.
Attach ing Hemmer Foot (Option)
A rolled hem makes an attractive finish for scarfs, tables
liens and tricot lingerie fabric.
Make a double 1/8" (0.3 cm) fold approximately 3" (8 cm) in
length.
Lower the needle into the fabric at the point where sewing is
to begin, then lower the hemmer foot.
Sew 3 or 4 stitches while holding the needle and bobbin
threads. Lower the needle into the fabric and lift the
hemmer foot. Insert the folded portion of the fabric into the
curl of the hemmer foot.
Lower the hemmer foot, then sew by lifting up the edge of
the fabric to keep it feeding smoothly and evenly.
Trim the corner as illustrated, to reduce bulk.
