on backup power for approximately 16 hours. When AC power is restored, the display
will come back on and show a message stating the AC power was interrupted.
Q. Can I swap out sensors in the field?
A. Yes. The sensor's calibration information is stored in the sensor itself. When you
change out the sensor, this information is automatically downloaded to the 5020A.
There is no need to reprogram probe coefficients into the 5020A.
Q. How many readings can the 5020A store in onboard memory?
A. The 5020A can store 400,000 date- & time-stamped data points.
Q. What happens when memory is full?
A. The oldest block of data is discarded to allow the most recent measurements to be
recorded.
Q. How do I tell how much memory has been used?
A. The memory usage expressed as a percent filled is found in the DATA menu under
DATA RECORD and DATA STORAGE.
Q. How do I get data from the 5020A?
A. The 5020A allows you to download data using a RS232 or IR connection to a
computer or printer. You may also use a data card to transfer data to and from the
5020A and a computer.
Q. Is the IR output on the 5020A compatible with my IR printer?
A. The IR port on the 5020A is compatible with any IrDA compatible device.
Q. Can I change the data stored in memory?
A. No. Data stored in memory cannot be changed. It can be downloaded, but the original
data file cannot be changed. Memory can be cleared of all readings.
Q. Does the 5020A utilize password protection?
A. Yes. Refer to section 7.5.4 in this manual.
Q. What is the recommended calibration interval of the 5020A?
A. The 5020A does not require calibration. The 2626-X probes used with the 5020A
should be calibrated annually.
