11.1 Digit 1, Point Type
For Digit 1 selections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, B, C: If an alarm occurs on these points within 2 minutes of a closing
(exit time expired, Excursion/Exit included), the system sends a RECENT CLOSING message with the Alarm
Report.
For Digit 1 selections 6, 7, 8, 9, B, C: If these points are faulted at the end of exit delay, the system waits a
period equal to entry delay before sending an Alarm Report. If the system is not turned off, it sends an EXIT
ERROR message with the Alarm Report.
Set Digit 1 to 0 (zero) for points used for RF keypads and arming devices: If you want to use an RF
keypad or other arming device, you must assign each device to a point number in order to learn the device into
the system. Set Digit 1 to 0 for RF keypad and arming device points.

Display Selection Description
0 Disabled Point does not respond to opens or shorts. Set Digit 1 to 0 if you are using
this point number for an RF Keypad or arming device.
1 Fire Short on sensor loop starts fire alarm response.
Open on sensor loop causes trouble response.
Fire points are not bypassable. Single Ring programming option does not
apply to Fire points.
Missing Fire points generate a trouble response when the system is on or
off.
2 Fire with Alarm
Verification (use Fire
with Alarm Verification
for Point 1 only)
Short on sensor loop starts verification process:
1. Control panel removes power to Point 1 for 4 seconds to reset smoke
detectors.
2. Short on loop within 120 seconds of reset starts alarm response. If the
point remains normal or open for the 120-second verification window
no alarm response occurs.
3. Verification is not recommended for RF points.
4. Missing Fire points generate a trouble response when the system is on
or off.
5. RF Tamper for Fire points generates a trouble response when the
system is on or off.
6. Do not use Fire Alarm Verification points as Cross or Partner points.
