Blind Hem Stitches
Secure the bottoms of skirts and pants with a blind hem. Two stitches are available for blind hem
stitching.
Sew a blind hem according to the following
procedure.
a
Turn the skirt or pants wrong side out.
a Right side of fabric
b Bottom edge of fabric

Fold the fabric along the desired edge of the
hem, and press.
* Seen from the side
a Wrong side of fabric

Use a chalk to mark on the fabric about 5
mm (3/16 inch) from the edge of the fabric,
and then baste it.

Fold back the fabric inside along the basting
line.

When the size of cylindrical pieces is too
small to slide onto the arm or the length is
too short, the fabric will not feed and desired
results may not be achieved.
