A noise sounds
Indoor unit
When the power turn on, operation of air
conditioner stops or the front panel opens or
closes.
These are not failures
•
Noise of initial position setting of the open-close panel or vertical direction louvers or
the noise of initial fi lter setting may sound for 8 minutes maximum.
When the air conditioner is operating.
•
A splashing noise may sound from the ion charger during Picoion air purifying or
automatic cleaning.
•
When the fl ow of refrigerant is switched, a sloshing noise may sound.
•
When parts expand or shrink as the temperature changes, a slosh noise sounds.
•
When the refrigerant fl ows, noise of rustling sounds.
During cleaning. (Filter cleaning)
•
Operating noise of fi lter sounds when the air fi lter operates.
•
Contact noise of brush rustling sounds when dust on the air fi lter is removed.
Others
•
Hissing may sound if the outside wind is strong while the operation is stopped.
•
Bubbling noise from the drainage pipe is the noise from external air fl owing into the
room through the drainage pipe. It is caused when the ventilation fan is operated in
an air tight room.
Sound comes from the plasma ion charger.

For a failure of the plasma ion or the Picoion charger unit, consult the dealer or
the Toshiba Service Center.
The plasma ions charger has high voltage poles. DO NOT inspect or repair yourself
since these are dangerous.
