REPLACING THREAD SPOOLS
When replacing thread spools, the following steps may be
helpful for quick changeover.
1. Cut off existing threads near the spools (Fig. 1). Tie the cut
ends to thread from new spools as illustrated (seamen's
knot), (Fig. 2).
2. Raise presser foot and turn all tension controls to 0.
3. Lower needle bar to its lowest position by turning hand
wheel away from you. Carefully pull the existing thread one
by one until the connecting knots pass through needle eye
and looper eye.
4. Reset the tension controls.

Frayed thread may make needle threading difficult.
Draw the thread passing under the moving cutter and turn hand
wheel towards you to obtain clear cut end as illustrated (Fig. 3).

REEMPLAZAR LOS CARRETES DE HILO
Cuando se reemplacen los carretes de hilo, para un cambio
r&pido, los siguientes pasos pueden set de ayuda:
1. Cortar los hilos existentes cerca de los carretes (Fig. 1). Ate
los bordes cortados al hilo de los nuevos carretes como
ilustrado. (Nudo de marineros), (Fig. 2)
2, Levantar el pie prensatelas y girar todos diales de tensi6nes
hasta O.
3. Bajar la barra de aguja a la posici6n m&s bajo girando el
voiante manualmente en sentido de costura. Tirar
cuidadosamente de los hilos existentes hasta que los nudos
de conexion pasen a traves de ojo de aguja y ancora.
4. Refijar los diales de tensi6nes.
CORTAR EL HILO DE LA AGUJA
Un hilo deshilachado puede hacer dificil el enhebrado de la
aguja. Tire del hilo hasta que posicione debajo de la cuchilla
m6vil y gire el volante manualmente en sentido de costura para
obtener un porte limpio como ilustrado (Fig. 3).
