3.10 Camera Images, Screen Display
Issue Causes and Solutions
The image is out of focus. The lens is dirty.
Clean the lens. Refer to the operating
instructions included with the camera for
information.
The subject is too close.
The camera cannot properly focus on
subjects less than 0.5 m away. Move the
subject further away (at least 0.5 m from the
camera).
The image is out of focus
(when using a camera
with an optical zoom
feature).
When setting the home position, sensor position, or
preset position, manual focus mode was selected.
If manual focus mode was selected when
setting the home position, sensor position, or
preset position, the image may be out of
focus. Set the position again using automatic
focus mode.
Manual focus mode is selected.
Press and hold the left or right navigator key
to focus, or press and hold STOP to switch to
automatic focus mode.
The subject is too close to the camera.
If the subject is too close, or depending on the
zooming position, the image may become out
of focus. Move the subject further away from
the camera or adjust the zoom.
Images colors are wrong. The white balance is set incorrectly.
Set the white balance in the camera’s Setup
screen (see “Camera Setup for Local
Cameras” on page 93 of the Operating
Instructions).
I cannot turn color night
view mode on/off.
This feature can be turned on/off for HCM cameras
only by accessing the camera with a PC. For BL-C10
and BL-C30, this feature turns on and off
automatically.
