Cleaning the Hook Race and Feed Dogs
Unplug the machine and remove the presser foot
and needle. Remove the screw on the left side of
the needle plate with a screwdriver. Remove the
needle plate (_ and take out the bobbin.

Lift up the bobbin holder (_) and remove it.

Brush out dust and lint inside bobbin holder. Clean
the feed dogs (_ and hook race (_ with a lint brush.
Wipe out gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Line up the triangle marks ® and position the bob-
bin holder so that the notch fits next to the stopper
(_) in the hook race.

Oiling the Machine
Open the face cover and oil the two points as shown
at least once a year. One or two drops of oil is
sufficient. Remove excess oil, otherwise it may stain
fabrics. In case the machine is not used for an
extended period, oil it before sewing. Use quality
sewing machine oil.
