Complex Samples Ordinal Regression
Design effect. The ratio of the variance of the estimate to the variance obtained by assuming
that the sample is a simple random sample. This is a measure of the effect of specifying a
complex design, where values further from 1 indicate greater effects.
Square root of design effec t. This is a measure, expressed in units comparable to those of
the standard error, of the effect of specifying a complex design, where values further from
1 indicate greater effects.
Parallel Lines. This group allows you to request statistics associated with a model with nonparallel
lines where a separate regression line is tted for each response category (except the last).
Wald test. Produces a test of the null hypothesis that regression parameters are equal for all
cumulative responses. The model with nonparallel lines is estimated and the Wald test of
equal parameters is applied.
Parameter estimates. Displays estimates of the coefcients and standard errors for the model
with nonparallel lines.
Covariances of parameter estimates. Displays an estimate of the covariance matrix for the
coefcients of the model with nonparallel lines.
Summary statistic s for model variables. Displays summary information about the dependent
variable, covariates, and factors.
Sample desig n information. Displays summary information about the sample, including the
unweighted count and the population size.
