Cisco IOS XR System Security Command Reference
Use the group command in username configuration mode. To access username configuration mode, use
the username command in global configuration mode.
If the group command is used in admin configuration mode, only root-system and cisco-support can be
specified.

Examples The following example shows how to assign the user group operator to the user named user1:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# configure
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config)# username user1
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-un)# group operator
