It is recommendedthat supplyand return duct connectionsat the unit bemadewith flexible joints.
The supptyandreturn air ductsystemsshouldbedesignedfor the CFMstaticrequirementsof thejob. Theyshould
NOTbe sized tomatch thedimensionsof the ductconnectionsonthe unit,
NOTE:SUPPLYDUCTFLANGESARESHIPPEDFLATANDMUSTBEBENTUPBEFOREATTACHINGTHESUPPLYDUCT.
Toconnectthe returnducttothe unit.usea straightpieceof duct 22" wideby 7" deep.Insertthe ductintothereturn
openinginthebottomofthe unit. Flangethe ductovertheexistingflanges aroundtheopeninginsideunit. Makesure
thatallsidesofthe ductare flangedovertopermitremovalof coolingchassisif required.Usea flexible connectionto
attachremainderof returnduct. Thereturnductshouldbe sealedtotheunit casingandterminateoutsidethespace
containingthefurnace.
NOTE:THE RETURNDUCTMUST ALLOWFORTHE UNIT DRAINPANCONNECTIONSAND DRAINTUBE.
CAUTION:DONOTSCREWINTOTHE SIDEOFTHEDRAINPAN.
AIR FILTER
Allindoor return airmust be filtered.Apermanent-typefilter isfurnished withtheunit,locateddirectly behindtheac-
cess panel. Removingthe panel permits access to the filter.
Thefiltershouldbe cleanedat leastthreetimesduring eachof theheating andcoolingseasons,or morefrequently if
unusual conditionsare encountered. To clean the permanent filter, shake filter to removeexcessdirt and/or use
vacuum cleaner. Wash filter in soap or detergent water and replaceafter filter is dry.
The filter supplied neednot be oiled afterwashing.
