Starting A Fire Automatically
1. Turn Mode Selector to “OFF”.
This resets the control in addition to turning it off.
2. Clean Burnpot with scraper.
This is typically a weekly maintenance procedure, but,
depending on the fuel being burned, may need done
more frequently. Cleaning the burn pot with the scraper
with a small amount of new fuel in the bottom is not a
problem. First, scrape the ashes from the front of the
burn pot into the ash pan. Then scrape the hole grid
surface downward into the burn pot. When the stove is
ignited these scrapings will be pushed out by the feeder.
CAUTION: Wear Heat-Resistant Gloves To Perform
The Scraping Procedure.
3. Fill Hopper with pellets.
Before relling the hopper, check for excessive nes
in the bottom of the hopper. Fines are small pieces of
broken pellets (sawdust). Fines do not ow easily and
often build up on the hopper funnel bottom angles.
These nes can be pushed into the feeder opening and
then ll the hopper with pellets. As the system works,
they will be burned.
Access the burnpot through the rebox door. Scraping
can be done while the unit is in operation. *see caution
