3.5 SWITCHES
3.5.1 DIP Switches The Rosemount 2230 is equipped with four DIP switches as illustrated in
Figure 3-9.

Manual configuration may override the switch setting.
The Simulate Switch
The Simulate switch is used to simulate measurement values from the tanks.
The switch returns from “ON” to “OFF” after power is applied. This feature
prevents the transmitter from being left in simulation mode.
Write Protect Switch
The Write Protect switch can be used to protect the Rosemount 2230 from
unintentional changes of the current configuration.
3.6 AMBIENT
TEMPERATURE
The Rosemount 2230 is equipped with a temperature sensor for measuring
ambient temperature. The temperature can be displayed on the field display
and in the TankMaster software.
