The VCC Card CF LED Is Illuminated and the AUX LED Is Blinking
Problem: The LED labeled “CF” on the CM9780-VCC Video Input card is illuminated, and the LED labeled “AX” is flashing.
Solution: Refer to Table N to interpret the flashing of the AX LED.

Monitor Display Problems
Problem: Text characters (such as in camera titles) do not display properly.
Solution: The CM9780-VMC monitor output card in the matrix bay may not be set for the correct video format (NTSC or PAL). Check switch 1
on the DIP switch and verify that the switch is in the correct position, as identified in Table O. Refer to Figure 42 for an illustration
of the DIP switch.

Problem: The CM9780-MXB color bars display in black and white, instead of the appropriate colors.
Solution: The CM9780-VMC monitor output card in the matrix bay may not be set for the correct video format (NTSC or PAL). Check switch 1
on the DIP switch and verify that the switch is in the correct position, as identified in Table O. Refer to Figure 42 for an illustration
of the DIP switch.
LED Indicators on the Power Supply Module
Problem: If two power supply modules are installed in the matrix bay, the following LED indicators on a power supply will signify that the
power supply is not working.
Solution: First verify that the inactive power supply is seated properly in the matrix bay frame, and is turned on. If it is, the power supply may
have blown a fuse. Refer to How to Replace the Fuse in a Power Supply Module in the Installation section for instructions.
AUX LED Blink Rate (when the
CF LED is illuminated)

Communication with the primary CM9780-
VMC card has failed.
Make sure that a CM9780-VMC card is inserted into slot
18 and is working properly.
2 short blinks (quarter-second rate)
1 long blink (one-second rate)
Invalid video input card. This error code
appears when a CM9770-VCC video input
card is inserted into a CM9780-MXB
matrix bay.
Replace the video input card with a CM9780-VCC card.
