Defining the Ethernet Advanced Settings
Use this option to define the settings and operational status of the Ethernet port.
Procedure
Step 1 Select Ethernet > Advanced. The Ethernet: Advanced dialog box displays in the
right pane.
Step 2 Complete the following:
Note Clicking Clear removes all the current entries in the window and any
entries you have made in other Template windows up until that point.
Table 3-8 Ethernet Advanced Settings
Field Description
Status From the list, select one of the following:
• up— Enables the Ethernet port for normal operation.
• down—Disables the device’s Ethernet port.
Packet Forwarding From the list, select one of the following:
• enabled—Allows normal operation.
• disabled—Prevents data from moving between the
Ethernet and the radio, which is useful in
troubleshooting.
