USING THE DOOR CONTROL
SYNCHRONIZETHEDOORCONTROL
To synchronize the door control to the garage door opener,press the push bar until the garage door
opener activates(it maytake up to 3 presses).Testthe door control by pressing the push bar,each
pressofthe push bar will activate the garage door opener.

PUSH BAR
Pressthe push bar to open or close the door.
NAVIGATION BUTTONS (SMART CONTROL PANEL ONLY)
Use the navigation buttonsto make selections and programfeatures.
LIGHT BUTTON
Pressthe LIGHTbutton to turn the garage door opener lightson or off.When the lightsare turned on
theywill stay on until the LIGHT button ispressed again,or until the garage door opener isactivated.
Once the garage door opener isactivated the lights will turn offafter the specified period oftime (the
factorysetting is4-1/2 minutes).The LIGHTbutton will notcontrol the lights when the door isin motion.
The duration ofthe lighttiming can be adjusted using the door control.
SCREEN (SMART CONTROL PANEL ONLY)
The screen will displaythe time and temperature until the menu button is pressed,and then itwill
display the menu options.Ifthere isa problem with the garage door opener the screen will displaythe
Diagnostic Code.Refer to the Troubleshooting section.
The followingfeatures are accessible throughthe screenusingthe navigation buttons on the
Smart ControlPanelor by liftingthe pushbaronthe Motion-DetectingControlPanel:
LEARN A DEVICE
Any compatible remote controls,wirelesskeylessentry,or MyQ™ accessories can be programmed to
the garage door opener byaccessing the menu and using the navigation buttonson the SmartControl
Panel or bypressing the Learn button on the Motion-Detecting Control Panel.
LOCK
The LOCK feature isdesigned to preventactivation of the garage door opener fromremote controls
while still allowing activation from the door control and keylessentry.This feature isuseful for added
peace ofmind when the home isempty(i.e.vacation).
TIMER-TO-CLOSE (TTC)
DO NOTenable TTCifoperating aone-piece door.Factorydefaultissetto off.The garage door
opener will Beep and the lightswill Flash before closing the door.
Ifthe door encountersan obstruction while closing,the garage door opener will make a second attempt
to close the door.Ifthe obstruction hasnotbeen cleared after the second attempt,the garage door
opener will reverse open,stop and W LL NOTclose until the obstruction has been cleared.TTC WILL
NOTworkif the garage door opener is operating bybatterypower or ifthe safetyreversing sensorsare
misaligned. Thisfeature isNOTintended to be the primarymethod ofclosing the door.A keyless entry
shouldbe installedin the event of anaccidentallock out whenusingthis feature.
AUTOMATIC LIGHT
MotionSensor
Factorydefaultissetto on. Thisfeature automatically turns on the garage door opener lights when
motion issensed.The lightswill come on for the setperiod of time,then shutoff.Ifusing the garage door
opener light asa work lightdisable the motion sensor,otherwise the lightwill turn off automaticallyifyou
are beyond the range ofthe sensor.
Light Feature
The lights will turn on when someone enters through the open garage door and the safetyreversing
sensor infrared beam is broken.
