9 Connect the door arm to the trolley
OPTION B SECTIONAL DOORS
IMPORTANT: The groove on the straightdoor arm
MUST face awayfromthe curved door arm (Figure 1).
9.1B Close the door.Disconnectthe trolleyby
pulling the emergency release handle.
9.2B Attach the straightdoor armto the outer
trolleyusing the clevispin (H14).Secure with
the ring fastener (H19).
9.3B Attach the curved door armto the door
bracketusing the clevispin (H13).Secure
with the ring fastener (H19).
9.4B Bring arm sectionstogether.Find two pairsof
holesthatline up and join sections.Select
holesas far apartaspossible to increase
door armrigidity and attach using the bolts
(H15),nuts (H20) and lockwashers(H21).
9.5B Pull the emergencyrelease handle toward
the garage door opener until the trolley
release arm ishorizontal.The trolleywill re-
engage automaticallywhen the garage door
opener isactivated.
NOTE: Ifthe holesin the curved door arm and the
straightdoor armdo not align,reverse the straight
door arm,selecttwo holes (as far apartaspossible)
and attach using bolts(H15),nuts (H20), and lock
washers(H21).Ifthe straightdoor armis hanging
down too far,you maycut6 inches(15 cm) fromthe
solid end.
