department code. The person in possession of this code has
access to all other codes.
Once the master department code exists, you can create, edit or
delete other department codes from the copier’s control panel or
using TopAccess. For more information on creating department
codes from the control panel, see the Operator's Manual for
Copier Functions.
Creating Additional Department Codes
1 In TopAccess, click the
Counters tab.
2 Click the Copy/Print submenu.
3 In the “Enter a department code to access department
counters field,” enter the master department code.
4Click
Enter.
5Click
New.
The Add new department code window appears.
6 Enter the new department code and the new department
name.
Note: The system supports a maximum of 150 department
codes.
7Click
OK.
Displaying Print and Copy Totals
Regardless of whether the department code feature is enabled,
you can click the Counters tab to display print and copy totals.
Department Code Functionality
There are three possible cases:
n Department code feature is disabled
n Department code feature is enabled, but enforcement is not
n Both the department code feature and the enforcement option
are enabled.
Department Code Feature is Disabled
In this case:
n The controller ignores any department codes submitted with a
print job and does not prompt you to enter the code. This goes
