Nozzle check and printer settings
The nozzle check and printer settings function prints the same
nozzle check pattern that the Nozzle Check utility prints, but it
also includes a list of printer settings. This function can only be
activated from the control panel, as described below.
1. Make sure the printer is turned off.
2. Load A4 or letter size plain paper in the printer.
3. Hold down the
Reset
button and press the
Operate
button
to turn the printer on. The printer prints a nozzle check
pattern and settings list similar to the one below.
The above sample is in black and white, but the actual pattern prints in color.
4. Check the nozzle check pattern and settings list.
5. If the printed pattern is faint or some dots are missing, like in
the sample shown below, try cleaning the print head as
described on page 6-2 and 8-37.
