!NEW Ċ causes the J17 to report a measurement, or a
series of measurements:
!NEW{CR} causes the J17 to transmit the a single
reading (the one currently displayed).
!NEW

{CR} causes the J17 to transmit multiple
readings as they are taken.
Any value for

greater than 128 causes the J17 to
report measurements continuously, until another
command is sent.
To interrupt the reporting, a single ! will hold reĆ
ports.
To stop reporting, a !NEW{CR} will stop and susĆ
pend the continuous reports.
NOTE
When using the J1820 color head, the values
delivered by the report will only be the value of
the last measurement. The START button
must be pressed each time a new
measurement is taken.
If an off scale (999.9) reading is taken, the J17
will suspend RSĆ232D reporting until the
reading is within the measurement range of
the instrument.
