INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION TIPS
• Do not locate components or cables where they will get wet.
•Lay cables loosely in attic or under floor.
• Do not tightly bundle with other wires.
•Avoid sharp bends in the cable.
• Do not directly staple the cables to any surface.
•Try to locate cables away from power lines and fluorescent fixtures.
• If a power line or fixture is in the way, take the cable across it at right angles.
• Do not run cables parallel to fixtures or power lines.
• The cables are 60 feet long. Do not try to shorten them.
• Extra cable should be spread out serpentine style.
•Avoid coiling up extra cable.
UNPACKING
The 14-Inch Color Monitor and the supplied digital cameras are shipped in separate boxes. Unpack and inspect the contents of each
box carefully.

BE SURE THERE IS AIR SPACE BELOW MONITOR.
DO NOT BLOCK AIR SPACE BY PLACING MONITOR ON A
SOFT SURFACE OR BY COUNTERSINKING SPOTS
FOR THE FEET.
INSTALLING THE MONITOR AND CAMERAS
NOTE:
If you are installing the monitor with cameras of your own choice or
with alternate video sources, go to
Installing the Monitor With Other
Cameras or Alternate Video Sources
on page 8.
You may also mix the supplied cameras with
other cameras or alternate video sources.
Use the following procedure, steps 1 – 8, to
begin the monitor installation and install the
supplied cameras, then go to page 8 and
follow steps 2 – 13 to install the other
cameras or alternate video sources and
complete the monitor installation.
1. Place monitor on a stable surface such as
a shelf or desk top.
2. Assemble and mount the cameras and
brackets.
NOTE:
The screws provided are intended
for wood. If it is necessary to substitute
screws for masonry or hollow wall mounting,
be sure to use #6 or 4 mm hardware.
