the handwheet counterclockwise and lower the
presser foot..

the flat side to the rear°
When inserting the needle into the clamp _,
push it up as far as it goes. Tighten the clamp
screw (_ firmly by turning it clockwise,.
f_ To check for a good needle, put the flat side of
the needle onto something flat (needle plate,
hook cover plate, glass, etc.)
The gap between the needle and the flat surface
should be consistenL Never use a bent or blunt
needle. A damaged needle can cause permanent
snags or runs in knits, fine silks and silk-like fabrics_

Remove the thumb screw (T) by turning it
counter-clockwise with a screwdriver,

Match the hole in the foot holder L-_with the
threaded hole in the presser bar (_., Fit the
thumb screw q_ into the hole, Tighten the screw
C) by turning it clockwise,
