The Stitch and its Uses
The Shell Stitch is formed by sewing a blind
hem over folded fabric, Several rows of shell
stitching are called shell tucks.
Shell stitching can be used to finish hems,
sleeve and neck openings.
Shell tucking can be used to create scalloped
tucks on blouses and lingerie.
