Oiling the Machine
Unplug the machine. Open the face cover and oil the two
points, as shown, at least once a year. One or two drops of
oil is sufficient. Remove excess oil, otherwise it may stain the
fabric. In case the machine has not been used for a long
period, oil it before sewing. Use quality sewing machine oil.
Cleaning the Shuttle Race and Feed Dogs
Line up the triangle marks and position the bobbin
holder, so that the notch fits next to the stopper in the
hook race.

Brush out dust and lint inside the bobbin holder. Clean
the feed dogs and hook race with a lint brush. Wipe
out gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Lift up the bobbin holder and remove it.

Unplug the machine and remove the presser foot and
needle. Open the face cover to allow room to remove the
needle plate screw with a screwdriver. Remove the needle
plate and take out the bobbin.
