INS TRUCTIONS MA NUAL
3. Open the high- and low-pres sure valves (ifprevious lyclosed)and press the GOkey.
4. The m achine will stop automatically when the pres et quantity has been charged. If the
A/C system pres sure increases to equal the tank pres sure, and the charge is not
complete, it will be necessary to draw the remaining refrigerant into the system using
the vehicle compress or as outlined below.
5. Clos e the high- and low-pres sure valves.
6. Start the vehicle m otor and switch on the A/C s ystem, and allow both to run for atleast 3
minutes. Atthis point the s ystem will be at s teady state and it will be possible to check
the high and low s ide values on the relative pres sure gauges.
7. Disconnect ONLY the high-press ure quick-connect coupling (if necess ary, s witch the
engine off). Then, with the A/C s ystem still running, open the high and low pres sure
taps to force the A/C s ystem to draw up the refrigerantcontained in the hoses.
8. After about 1 (one) minute, disconnect the low-press ure couplings of the VIPER VR-
6000 from the vehicle A/C s ystem and switch offthe engine.
W ARNING: W hen removing hoses from the vehicle, use extreme caution. Wear gloves
an d eye protect ion. Tak e car e not to al low refri ge rant to ent er the eyes. Liquid refrige rant
will cause sev ere bur ns and/or frostbite to exposed skin, blindne ss if sp r ayed into the
eyes, andeven the possibility of death if inhaled.
RECOVERING THE REFRIGERANT IN THE HO SES.
1. Set the MAIN POWER switch ON and open the high side and low s ide valves on the

2. Pres s and hold the SEL keyuntil the LED until the LED corresponding to “RECOVERY”
lights;then press GO. At this point the RECOVERY/RECYCLING phase will begin; the
“RECOVERY” LED will flas h.
3. When all of the refrigerant has been removed from the hoses , the m achine will
automaticallyshut offand the lamp i n the s witch will extinguish. To avoid going through
an “unneces sary and time consum ing oil dumping phas e”,pres s the s top key as soon
as pres sure in low pres sure hose reaches zero.
4. Clos e the High Side Valve and Low Side Valve and turn offthe m achine’s main power.
