EXITING WITH THE SYSTEM ALREADY ARMED

Press the AWAY button.
The Touchpad will voice prompt the correct action.
•
If you change your mind after pressing AWAY, press SILENCE to clear arming.
The red ARMED light will turn on steady, indicating that you have up to 3 minutes to exit through the
garage and close the door.

Open the garage door from the inside. System will disarm.

Exit the garage.
If the system is Armed STAY and you are leaving with NO other family members remaining home:

Close the garage door from the outside (with your existing garage door opener rem ote control) to arm
the system. The Garage Touchpad will give one chirp to indicate the system has armed.
If the garage door has not bee n closed within the exit delay time period, the system will revert
back to a disa rmed state.
If the system detects m ovement inside the premises (usually within 3 minutes of arming, but this
time period can be changed by your installer), it will automatically revert to Armed STAY mode,
providing perimeter protection with the interior protection (motion sensors) turned off. (See
ARMING STAY: PROTECTING YOURSELF AT HOME- page 8). (Note: See pa ge 13 if your
garage door motor fails).
